A structured settlement is a way to adjust the price of a violation for a set number of days.
An example would be to decrease an overdue fine to the original fine amount to allow a violator additional time to pay at the reduced rate.
Step 1: Login to the Roker Enforcement and search the violation you'd like to add a structured settlement to. You can do this by going Violations -> Violations Management -> Search the violation/plate you're looking for.
Step 2: Select the Violation so and click "Actions" at the top right corner to see the details.
Step 3: On that page, select "SS - Add Structured Settlement" (see below in GREEN):
Step 4: On the structured settlement page, you can select the expiry duration, change the amount (or re-enter the amount associated with the ticket to keep it the same), and add any notes. Then click "save" (Below in GREEN):
Expires In: this is the time period that the structured settlement cost will be active for.
Owed: What the violator currently owes on the invoice.
Charge Amount: The new charge you are applying to the structured settlement.
Reason: The (optional) reason why you are creating a structured settlement. This will show up in the Audit History tab under the invoice.
Step 5: Once you have clicked save, you will be brought back to the Violation details, where it will indicate at the top left side that the status is "Structured Settlement" (below in GREEN):
A structured settlement has now been added successfully.
Admin can search for violations within the Structured Settlement (SS) status on the Violations Management screen, by selected the "SS" status parameter If the violation is paid within the time frame given, the violation closesIf the violation is not paid within the time frame, the violation pops back into the regular cycle and the fine adjusts to what it was at before and is removed from the structured settlement (SS) status
